Day 1: Airport - Shkoder

Arrival to the airport of Pristina meeting with the guide and after a few hours’ drive we arrive at Mrizi i Zanave, a rural restaurant and guesthouse of international renown. Under the gaze of the blue-black Albanian mountain peaks, the place serves up five kinds of homemade bread, local pickled delicacies. All ingredients at Mrizi i Zanave are sourced on premises or from local farms. When I visited, everyone was finely dressed, enjoying lunch while a violinist and fiddler played Albanian folk classics live. Afternoon we drive to Shkoder where will be the accommodation. Overnight Shkoder

Day 2: Amalthia farm - Durres

After breakfast, short tour of Shkoder. Our visit starts with ruins of the Venetian fortress Rozafa near Skadar (Shkodër). On the spot was a castle guarding the way to the city, part of the walls coming from the original Illyrian fortress, conquered by the Romans in the 2nd century. Our journey continues to a farm Amalthia, bio farm producing goat’s cheeses and meats. Next stop on our tour is Durres. It is the largest port and one of the oldest cities in Albania. The ancient city has got many archeological sites to offer. The biggest amphitheater in Balkans, is one of them. After lunch near the sea, we will visit a factory, which produces famous cognac called Skanderberg. We will see the whole process and can taste this famous drink here too. You can buy this “medicine” for your family or friends. We will stay overnight in Durres.

Day 3: Berat

After breakfast we will travel to Berat.  We start our tour of this UNESCO registered town at the citadel, which is still mostly inhabited. Here we will visit the Onifri’s Museum. After lunch in local taverna, inside the citadel, we will visit the quarters of Gorica and Mangalem which are very unique. You can spend some “me” time walking through these old narrow streets. Later we travel to a local wine producer. We will see the “Kantina Çobo” and try some local wines and cheeses. For accommodation in one of the beautiful old houses, we will return to the city.

Day 4 : Permet – Korca

After breakfast drive to Korca, on the way we stop to  'Grand Albanik' farm is an agro-resort complex built on a modern and traditional concept. This farm is a very good combination between the two cultures, the authentic Albanian culture and the rich and refined French culture. Located 17km. from Këlcyra, 33 km. from Përmet, 58 km. from Gjirokastra, 33km. from Berat, situated practically between two important tourist valleys of Vjosa and Osumi, this farm-hostel-restaurant-camping etc. is an ideal destination for the resort from where you can enjoy the endless beauties of this wonderful area of ​​Albania. One of the most important towns of South East Albania and a well-known culinary town. The path takes us through spectacular landscapes with spectacular nature with gorges, mountains and river valleys offering a truly fulfilling experience. In Korce we visit Museum of Medieval Arts and the Mosque of Mirahori one of the oldest in the country. Dinner will be in a uniquely conceived restaurant which in its dining room houses a large collection of all kinds of items from Albania’s 50 years of communism. Overnight in Korca.

Day 5: Tirana

Following breakfast, we drive to Tirana. This new metropolis is booming with new modern architecture and interesting buildings from past periods. We start our tour by the monuments of communistic past, past the “Block” on the way to the main square, where you will see the Ethem Bey Mosque and clock tower. Later on we drive to Uka Farm in Tirana, located 8 km away from the city center. A winery where wine is being produced from Albanian indigenous grape varieties.  Uka farm is about 2 hectares large farm, which offers a variety of fruit trees, vines, vegetables and plants. "Uka Farm" is biodynamic & organic farm, and where the farm's restaurant applies the concept "From Farm to Table". Overnight Tirana.

Day 6: Prizren

After breakfast, we depart to Prizren, on the way we stop to Orahovac, located 30 km north of the city of Prizren. Archaeological evidences indicate an early settlement at the time Illyrian, 2,000 years ago. The village is mentioned together with a series of villages on grape cultivation since 1384, the region is a combination of hills, valleys and mountains offering visitors many opportunities to visit and perform many activities there. The famous Valley of Rohovec/ Orahovac has approximately 270 sunny days, where the excellent combination of climate and sun makes the land very suitable for the cultivation and growth of various types of grapes, from which it can be produced a large number of wines, a centuries-old tradition. Our jpurney continues to Prizren you will do a walking tour which includes the attractive Ottoman Old Town, known for its gold and silver filigree craftsmen, the hammam, the museum of Prizren League, the Helveti Tekke, Sinia Pasha Mosque and the church of Our Lady of Ljevis. Prizren has the largest number of preserved Ottoman buildings in Kosovo, so simply wandering the old cobbled streets admiring the town houses, mosques and tekkes is a delight. Overnight Prizren.
